Be of good cheer...
My dear friends be of good cheer.  We have a Savior, Our Lord Jesus Christ who has overcome this world.  He told us that we would have tribulation in this world.  This life is not a bed of roses but a battlefield. Why are you fooled to believe that you are at home in this world?  Our home is not here, we are just pilgrims passing through...we will not be home until we reach Heaven.  Jesus left us wit the fact that for all who follow His ideals, we will beset with tribulation. He tells of to be of "good cheer". In the very presence of the Cross, He would have us grow the rose of cheerfulness.  Another rose that grows out of the soil of tribulation is the rose of prayer. In our greatest hour of tribulation this rose of vital fellowship with our Father in Heaven will shed its fragrance and show its beauty. Our Lord Jesus overcame this world.  The greater our handicaps and obstacles in this world, the more challenging opportunity is ours to live victoriously and to overcome the world.
So today I give thanks for the rose of cheerfulness, the rose of prayer, the rose of fellowship and the rose of victory...a beautiful bouquet!

Adapted from a devoition by William R. Leslie in 1951

Father, You have called us to be victors in this great battlefield of life, help we daily to put on Your full armor, to look unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith, and to endure hardness, tribulation as good soldiers of Christ, soldiers of the Cross Father, endue us with You vision and courage In Jesus Name. Amen

Motivate...Resolve...Believe!

My Song

Let the Game Begin! Batter Up!
In this game of life sunsets do not wait.  In the world of volunteerism sunsets do not wait! It is a new sunrise...a new day...a new game!

Let us stretch every muscle, every nerve.  Let us press on with vigor. This game of volunteerism demands our zeal.
